Creating a new group

Site admins can create groups through the WP admin dashboard from the menu via User Groups > Add New

You can set the data for the group –

  • Title
  • Content
  • Category
  • Tags
  • Image
  • Privacy. – public or private

Any user who has the role(s) defined in the ‘Allow users to create Groups’ setting in Users > Settings > Groups, can then create a group from the site frontend.

They will see ‘Create Group’ buttons on their profile and anywhere where the Group directory is displayed. The form to create the group is accessible with the URL yoursite.com/groups/new (where groups is changed to the plural name defined in the settings):
